The Texas chapter of MLA invites proposal submissions for the fall meeting hosted at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on October 18-19, 2024.
This will be a hybrid meeting with in-person and virtual attendance and presentation options.
Please route submissions into the following formats:
- 30 to 45 Minute Presentations: These are traditional long-format presentation with time for Q&A.
- 20 to 30 Minute Roundtable Discussions: Present the topic and leave time for some discussion.
- 5 to 10 Minute Lightning Talks: Share concise ideas, research findings, or project updates.
Include in your submission:
- Presentation Title and abstract (100-300 words)
- Desired Format (see above)
- Indicate whether will will present remotely or in-person
- Indicate whether your presentation will require any special equipment or technology
- Proposals should be submitted via Google forms prior to the deadline of Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Harness your creativity, dust off those research ideas you’ve been mulling and share your work among your highly supportive colleagues at TMLA. PS – while in Dallas, visit the State Fair of Texas and say ‘Howdy’ to Big Tex.
