The TMLA Program Planning Committee is pleased to invite proposals for the Fall Meeting of the Texas Chapter of the Music Library Association, to be held on October 20-21, 2023, at the University of North Texas. This will be a hybrid event, with opportunities to present in-person or virtually. We welcome proposals on a wide variety of topics in music and music librarianship.
We Welcome Proposals for the Following Session Formats
- 45-Minute Presentations: Engage the audience with in-depth presentations of varying types (individual/group papers, lecture recitals, workshops, etc.) on a wide range of topics related to music librarianship. Presenters will have 45 minutes, including time for questions and discussion.
- 20-30 Minute Roundtable Discussions: Facilitate interactive and collaborative discussions on specific themes, challenges, or emerging trends in music librarianship. Presenters will have 20-30 minutes to introduce the topic and engage participants in a lively conversation.
- 10-15 Minute Lightning Talks: Share concise and focused presentations on innovative projects, research findings, or practical tips and techniques in music librarianship. Presenters will have 10-15 minutes to deliver a dynamic and impactful talk.
Submissions Guidelines
- Proposals should include a title and an abstract (100-300 words).
- Please specify the desired session format (45-Minute Presentation, Roundtable Discussion, or Lightning Talk; as well as In-Person or Virtual/Remote).
- Include any special requirements or equipment needed for your presentation.
- Proposals should be submitted no later than August 4, 2023.
